Good Design in Hard Times Exhibition at the OSU Urban Arts Space
Presented by OSU Urban Arts Space
Tuesday, January 10, 2012 - Saturday, February 4, 2012 In bad economic times, people have to be more creative. An entrepreneurial spirit and thinking therefore seems to define today's generation and post-recession era, which is evident in Columbus through the thriving scenes of food trucks, pop-up stores, public art, and ever-growing local movements. Featuring four projects located in Columbus neighborhoods, Good Design in Hard Times explores the way in which creative design responds to the essence of this moment. All projects are small-scale, low budget, and highly adaptable to different situations and locations. Each proposal aims to create environments that transform the area and enhance the vitality of the neighborhood.
